Introduction
Ruttusound serves exotic and multicultural rhythms on kantele. Musician, DJ-producer Sami Sammalkallio has raised the stakes of kantele music and made a new musical conquest with his unique style. The debut album 'Tropikantele', released in the spring of 2024, offers its listeners a tropical exploration into the versatile spectrum of the kantele and is deservedly one of the year's most interesting albums in the field of instrumental music. Ruttusound makes the audience dance with the composition of three multidisciplinary multi-instrumentalists. The music includes e.g. dub-reggae, hip-hop, downtempo, cumbia, molam, amapiano, & folktronica. First appearance at Etno-Espa 2024.
