World Wide Women
This online publication provides insights on women’s different musical practices around the world. By centering their musical agency, the articles in this collection explore how women use music to construct imaginary and real futures for themselves. The collection of multimedia articles is one of the results of the project World Wide Women – Female Musicians Crossing Borders and Building Futures, a project funded by Kone Foundation in 2021–2024.

GMC Children's Channel
The Global Music Centre launched the GMC Children's Channel during the coronavirus restrictions in the early spring of 2020. During that time, the emergency circumstances affected the GMC’s operations in many ways. For instance, it was no longer possible to arrange musicians’ visits and workshops at daycare centres. We wanted to employ musicians as quickly and efficiently as possible, giving them the opportunity to try new ways of working while providing experiences and enjoyment for children and adults at home – as well as at daycare centres and schools, when that becomes possible once again.
