Financial Skills for Freelancers in the Arts Online Course (1–2 cr) 8.9.–31.12.2025 – free of charge!

Get to know the financial management of an art freelancer in a versatile way. You will gain compact information from video lectures by visiting experts to support different situations in working life.

Verbalization of Artist's Creative Skills and Competence, online (2 cr) 8.9.–31.12.2025

Gain basic skills of verbalizing your artistic creativity, presentation and pitching on this independently studied online course.

Negotiation Skills Online Course (2 cr) 8.9.–31.12.2025

This course provides you with all the basic information on negotiation skills you need in working life.

Studies in the Arts

All Abilities Band (4 cr)

The All Abilities Band is an inclusive, accessible music ensemble that brings together people from neurodivergent, physically divergent, and culturally diverse backgrounds. 

Sound Art & Sonic Arts module (15 cr)

This Open Campus minor studies module introduces you to sound as a wide-ranging form of contemporary art and artistic research, working in spaces between music, sound design, visual art, and performing arts.

Ecological and Social Sustainability in Curating (2 cr)

The course examines the urgent questions of ecological and social sustainability, how they affect curating of contemporary art today, and how curatorial practices are addressing these challenges in different ways.

Open University study fee in the August 2025 application period is 20–30 €/credit. The study fee for courses starting after 1.8.2025 is 30 € per credit, except for independently studied online courses and study modules of 15 credits or more, regarding which it is 20 € per credit. The tuition fees for courses organised by partner institutions vary and each partner institution is responsible for its own pricing.

The training free of charge has been funded by the Service Centre for Continuous Learning and Employment. The Service Centre promotes the competence development of working-age people and the availability of skilled labour. The operations of the Service Centre are overseen by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

Application period to the Autumn term courses above has begun and will end on the 18th August (courses integrated with Uniarts degree studies) or 21st August (courses organized by the Open University) at 11:59 pm.
